Having qualified from the University of Dundee, Kate later obtained her Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) at the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. She spent time working in a busy family practice in Edinburgh before moving to London to gain further training as a Senior House Officer at Guy’s Hospital. Working alongside leading consultants in the field of Restorative Dentistry, Kate was responsible for performing a wide range of advanced treatments, it was here that she first developed her talent for aesthetic dentistry. Along with a Masters in History of Art from Trinity College Dublin, Kate uses her artistic skills to obtain optimal but natural looking results while employing the latest and most advanced techniques for white fillings, veneers and crowns.
Kate works as a Specialty Dentist in Oral Surgery on Mondays at Guys Hospital, carrying out difficult surgical extractions and biopsies. Her surgical skills fostered an interest in dental implants which resulted in her expanding her practice to place and restore dental implants. She keeps up-to-date with the latest evidence-based implant dentistry by frequently attending courses, ensuring that she provides the highest quality of dental care to each patient.
Kate and her nurse Caitlin seek to put their patients at ease by creating a comfortable and relaxed environment in their surgery. A sports enthusiast, Kate is a keen tennis player and avid yogi. She is also very interested in art, and speaks both Spanish and French. She loves travelling and escapes abroad whenever she gets the chance!
