It is long been known in the dental profession that the health of your teeth mouth and gums can tell us much about the early onset of other diseases.
This is now starting to reach the national consciousness with articles concerning dental health and cancer and now with Simply Health running an ad campaign talking about the links between your dental health and cardiovascular disease.
The new advertising and social media campaign, which has been launched by healthcare provider Simplyhealth, prompts viewers to visit the Simplyhealth UK Facebook page and ‘Like’ an app – and for every ‘like’ received, Heart Research UK will receive £1, for up to 30,000 ‘likes’.
We’re delighted to be the first charity that Simplyhealth has supported through its advertising.
The advert, which is being aired on digital and terrestrial channels from 17 September, explains how research suggests there may be a link between dental health and cardiovascular disease. It prompts viewers to go the Simplyhealth UK Facebook page and ‘Like’ an app, where you will be able to review the research, read free health guides on dental health and heart health, and watch videos with experts.
Your click on the app “Like” button will prompt Simplyhealth to donate £1 to Heart Research UK – up to a maximum of 30,000 likes. Click on the “Donate” button here.
Heart Research UK promotes leading a healthy lifestyle, including looking after your teeth, and has produced a ‘Dental Care and your Heart’ leaflet which can be viewed here.
